It\u2019s a young teen novel about three kids who\u2019ve been placed in a foster home in the country. The problem: Allie\u2014the oldest of the three\u2014is determined to reunite her birth family, at any cost.<\/p>\n<p>My own family was enriched\u2014but also turn apart\u2014by the experience of fostering high-risk kids like Allie. I wrote this book to honor the struggles that these children face.<\/p>\n<p>Home is free through Story Cartel until August 3.
